JERUSALEM, December 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Sunday entered the yard of the Dome of the Rock despite having no permission, in a move that was described as provocative by the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem.

Firas Dibs, Waqf media official told WAFA that it was an intentional and planned move by the Israeli police to disregard the instructions of Al-Aqsa guards, who tried to prevent the settlers from climbing the steps up to the yard of the Dome of the Rock.

He said Israeli settlers’ groups entered Al-Aqsa compound early morning under Israeli police heavy protection, creating a tense atmosphere as some Muslim worshipers gathered in study groups in Al-Aqsa mosque.
