RAMALLAH, July 28, 2014 – (WAFA) –
Prime Minister stated Monday that an inventory of the gross damages
caused to Gaza homes, installations and infrastructure would be prepared.
Hamdallah made his comments during a visit on
the occasion of Eid el-Fitr, the Muslims festival marking the end of the
fasting month Ramadan, to Palestinians being treated for their injuries they
sustained during the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza
at Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.
'Our Eid will be when we gain our freedom.
Our people will remain steadfast and the occupation will end,' said
Hamdallah during the visit.
He expressed hope that 'next Eid will come
when we have achieved our dream in gaining freedom and the establishment of our
own independent state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its
capital.'
He was accompanied by Health Minister Jawad
Awad, Minister of Waqf and Religious Affairs Yousef Ideiss, Governor
of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Laila Ghannam together with a host of officials.
Hamdallah stressed that the Palestinian
leadership maintains constant contact with state actors and international
institutions to bring the Israeli military aggression on the besieged coastal
enclave to an end.
He added that an inventory for all material
losses sustained in the enclave would be prepared given the Palestinian
leadership’s request to hold an international donor conference to rebuild the
strip.
He called upon the international community,
particularly the Middle East Quartet, to take an immediate action to oblige
Israel to stop its massacres against Gaza population as well as its crimes,
such as crushing and opening fire on peaceful protests, in the West Bank.
