RAMALLAH, May 24, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Saturday protested material published on the
Palestinian National Security Forces’ official website regarding the
Palestinian refugees' Right of Return.
On the Israeli Prime Minister Office’s official
website, Netanyahu expressed his protest at a caricature published on the
official website of the Palestinian National Security Forces depicting the
implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions, primarily resolutions on the
Palestinian refugees’ Right of Return, as being obstructed by Israel.
Netanyahu drew an analogy between this
caricature and an anti-Jew caricature that was published long time ago in 1930
in a Nazi newspaper, claiming that 93% of Palestinian people are anti-Semite.
Spokesperson of the National Security Forces lieutenant
colonel Hafeth al-Rifa‘i
stated: “This forms a part of the incitement campaign launched by the Israeli
government against the Palestinian leadership with the aim of preventing it
from claiming Palestinian people’s rights and calling for achieving a just
peace.”
Al-Rifa‘i stressed that the
Right of Return is guaranteed by
international norms and laws.
