Israeli forces detain 18 Palestinians in Jenin, Tulkarm and Bethlehem

RAMALLAH, October 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 18 Palestinians across the Jenin, Tulkarm and Bethlehem governorates in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, including several former prisoners, while a Palestinian was moderately injured during a raid on a home in Qabatiya, south of Jenin.

Local sources told WAFA that an undercover Israeli military force infiltrated the town of Qabatiya and raided the home of Mohammad Nazzal, a former prisoner, before detaining him. The forces also detained Yazan Shawish during the raid in Qabatiya.

Qabatiya municipal ambulance services reported receiving an injured Palestinian from inside the raided house. He sustained moderate injuries and was transferred to Jenin Hospital for treatment.

Meantime, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and detained three Palestinians after searching their homes. They were identified as Ibrahim al-Saadi, Amjad al-Saadi, and Khattab Abdul Karim al-Souqi.

In a separate raid, Israeli forces stormed the town of Jaba, south of Jenin, searched several homes and detained Ahmad Salatneh, a former prisoner.

Meanwhile, the Qabatiya Directorate of Education announced that school hours in the town would be delayed until 9 a.m. Sunday due to the Israeli incursion.

In Tulkarm, Israeli occupation forces detained nine Palestinians during raids early Sunday, including several former prisoners.

Local sources told WAFA that the detainees included former prisoners Iyad Hosni Nasser and Issam Fuqaha from Nur Shams refugee camp; Mahmoud Riyad Fareij and Mohammad Ghanem from the Shweikeh suburb north of Tulkarm; Islam Mohammad Abu Samaha and Mustafa Odeh from the city’s southern neighborhood; and Alaa Shaheen from the Irtah suburb.

The sources added that Israeli forces also detained Louay al-Zandiq and Munir Abdullah Omar after raiding their homes in Nur Shams refugee camp and the town of Far'un, south of Tulkarm, respectively.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes, according to a Palestinian security source who spoke to WAFA.

The detainees were identified as Mohammad Munir Ismail Abdul Rahman, 21, from Aida refugee camp, and Marwan Saeed Asakra and his son Yahya from the village of al-Asakra, east of Bethlehem.

The detentions come amid continued Israeli military raids across the occupied West Bank, involving home searches and detentions of Palestinian citizens.
