BETHLEHEM, June 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, stormed the Solomon’s Pools tourist area located between the town of al-Khader and the village of Artas, south of Bethlehem, according to security sources.
Sources told WAFA correspondent that colonists spread across and inside the three pools, with some entering the water and swimming, while carrying out provocations against Palestinian citizens, as Israeli occupation forces fired sound bombs. No injuries or detentions were reported.
The occupation forces had previously attacked Palestinian citizens and visitors in the Solomon’s Pools area by firing tear gas canisters and sound bombs, causing several cases of suffocation.
The area has been witnessing an escalation in attacks by occupation forces and colonists, including repeated raids, assaults on citizens, and the performance of Talmudic rituals at the site.
