RAMALLAH, June 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday evening closed the western and only entrance to the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, and prevented vehicles from entering or leaving the village, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance of the village and closed the road to the movement of citizens and vehicles, disrupting residents’ movement and their access to their homes and workplaces, amid tightened military measures in the area.
Israeli forces stormed the village, fired sound bombs, and deployed across several neighborhoods of the village, where they carried out search and combing operations.
The raid involved intensive movements of occupation vehicles inside the village, with no confirmed reports so far of injuries or detentions.
The forces also established a military checkpoint at the Ein Sinya gate, north of Ramallah, obstructing the movement of vehicles leaving the city.
Israeli forces continue to tighten their military measures at the entrances and roads of West Bank governorates by setting up checkpoints and closing roads and gates, hindering citizens’ movement and increasing their daily suffering.
