Colonists set fire to olive trees northeast of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, June 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Monday evening set fire to several olive trees between the town of Turmus Ayya and the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources.

Sources said that colonists set fire to olive-planted lands in the area, while residents confronted them and forced them to leave.

Israeli occupation forces later stormed the area, providing protection to the colonists and preventing Civil Defense firefighting crews from reaching the scene to extinguish the fire.

Towns and villages northeast of Ramallah have been witnessing repeated incursions by Israeli occupation forces, alongside ongoing attacks by colonists against Palestinian residents and their property, particularly agricultural lands and olive trees.
