GAZA, May 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said today that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,819 while 172,894 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources reported that Gaza Strip hospitals received six slain people people and 39 wounded in the past 48 hours.
They indicated that the total number of slain Palestinians since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 922, and the total number of wounded to 2,786, while 781 bodies have been recovered.
The same sources explained that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them so far.
