GAZA, May 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian civilians, including a child, were killed on Monday after Israeli helicopters carried out an airstrike west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources said the two victims were transferred to the Kuwaiti Specialized Field Hospital, while the attack also injured 17 others and caused several displacement tents to catch fire.
The two victims were identified as six-year-old Mennatullah Nabil Abu Labda and 31-year-old Hanan Abdel Nasser Mahmoud.
In northwestern Gaza, Palestinian citizen Nidal Shalha also died of wounds sustained several days earlier in an Israeli strike that targeted a group of civilians near the 17 Roundabout in the al-Tuwam area.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced today that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Strip has risen to 72,797, with 172,821 injured, since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources reported that Gaza Strip hospitals received six fatalities and eight injuries over the past 24 hours, including one person who succumbed to previous injuries and five newly killed victims.
