BETHLEHEM, May 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished on Monday a Palestinian villa in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem.
Walid Najajra, an administrative official in the Nahalin municipality, told WAFA that Israeli troops stormed the town and deployed in the “Tour al-Zaafaran” area near the “Bakoush” neighborhood before demolishing an inhabited villa belonging to Saber Mahmoud Najajra, claiming it was built without a building permit.
A local source confirmed that Israeli troops closed off the demolition site, preventing residents from approaching, and fired live ammunition, tear gas, and stun grenades. No injuries were reported.
The source added that the villa consisted of two floors, each measuring 300 square meters. He noted that a large number of inhabited homes in the areas of Subaiha, Wadi al-Baqara, Wadi Salem, Wadi Bu Kabir, al-Kabarat, and Bakoush have been under threat of demolition and stop-work orders for some time.
