JERUSALEM, May 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued a stop-work order on Monday for a Palestinian house under construction in the town of Al-Jib, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that Israeli authorities delivered a notice to a resident ordering him to halt construction in the Khirbet Khalla area of Al-Jib, claiming the area is classified as an "archaeological site" and falls within Area C, where construction is prohibited.
The Governorate added that employees from the Israeli Ministry of Antiquities, accompanied by a group of colonists and Israeli forces, had previously raided the area.
