GAZA, May 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Five Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Saturday in an Israeli drone strike on northern Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that five Palestinians were killed and others wounded when an Israeli drone targeted the al-Tuam area in northern Gaza.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached  72,783, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023, according to medical sources. At least 172,779 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, 2025, the number of those killed and injured has reached 895 and 2,677, respectively. At least 776 bodies have also been recovered from under the rubble.
