BETHLEHEM, May 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Two children suffocated by tear gas fired by Israeli forces on Thursday night during a military raid on the town of Al-Khader and the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, according to a local source.

A local source told WAFA that the occupation forces stormed Al-Khader and were deployed in the Abu A’mous neighborhood near Solomon’s Pools, with no reports of home raids or detentions.

The occupation forces also raided Dheisheh camp, firing tear gas canisters at Palestinian citizens shopping for Eid al-Adha along the main Jerusalem–Hebron road.
