JERUSALEM, May 22, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation authorities on Friday forced a Jerusalemite to demolish his own home in the East Jerusalem Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan.
The citizen, Jumaa Mohammed Qara’in, carried out the demolition himself to avoid heavy fines imposed by the occupation municipality if its crews carried out the demolition.
The house consisted of two rooms and a bathroom and was built on a plot of land of around 500 square meters. The citizen was also forced to remove trees and dismantle tin sheets surrounding the property.
