GAZA, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,063, and 171,726 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
Medical sources said on Monday that two two people were killed and 11 others were wounded and taken Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours, while a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them.
The same sources indicated that the total number of slain civilians since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 603, and the total number of wounded to 1,618, while 726 bodies have been recovered.
