RAMALLAH, December 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities continue to subject Palestinian women detainees in Damon Prison to harsh and repressive policies, applying the same punitive detention measures imposed on male prisoners, including arbitrary arrest, brutal interrogation, and the absence of fair legal guarantees.
In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS) that the female prisoners in Damon suffer from harsh detention conditions, including frequent and humiliating searches, collective punishments, restrictions on family visits, and deprivation of basic necessities.
The PPS emphasized that deliberate medical neglect is one of the most prominent violations against the female prisoners, with delays in treatment and denial of necessary examinations exacerbating their physical and mental health conditions.
These abuses are compounded by the policy of solitary confinement, s, and continuous psychological pressure aimed at breaking the prisoners’ will.
According to a report released by prisoners’ rights organizations yesterday, the number female prisoners held in Israeli prisons has reached approximately 50.
