RAMALLAH, August 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian Prisoners’ institutions reported that 662 Palestinians, including 39 children and 12 women, were detained by the israeli occupation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during July 2025.
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), and Al Dameer Association for Human Rights stated in a report issued Sunday that the total number of detentions in the West Bank since the start of the ongoing genocide has risen to more than 18,500, including over 570 women and about 1,500 children.
These figures include those still held by the occupation and those released later. They do not include detainees from Gaza, whose numbers are estimated to be in the thousands since the start of the genocide.
