GAZA, May 2, 2025 (WAFA) — At least nine Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Friday in two Israeli drone strikes targeting a displacement camp in southern Gaza and a food kitchen in the north, according to local sources.
The sources reported that the first strike hit an encampment of tents sheltering displaced families near Asdaa City, in the northern area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. Three civilians were killed and several others injured in the attack.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone bombed a charity kitchen near the Abdel Aal intersection on Al-Jalaa Street in northern Gaza City. The strike killed six people and injured others who had gathered to receive food assistance.
Medical sources confirmed that a total of 30 Palestinians have been killed since dawn in various Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, as the humanitarian crisis deepens and safe zones continue to be targeted.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 52,418 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 118,091 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
