RAMALLAH, February, 18, 2025 (WAFA) – The spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Amjad Al-Najjar, said that several Palestinian detainees were subjected to abuse and torture by the occupation prison administration, stressing that the prisoners, according to what the lawyers confirmed during their visits, were threatened not to convey the image of what was happening to them inside the Israeli detention.

Al-Najjar affirmed in a statement to the Voice of Palestine Radio that the detainees in Megiddo Prison were subjected to abuse and are suffering from severe cold in light of the lack of blankets and the prevention of bringing in clothes.

In a related context, Al-Najjar stated, quoting one of the released detainees, that the prisoners inside the same room exchange blankets and clothes, and some of them sleep during the day and others at night, due to the severe cold and their deprivation of their most basic rights.
