Israeli forces use UNRWA health center in Al-Arroub refugee camp for interrogation and detention

NEW YORK, February 14, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has revealed that Israeli forces used one of its health centers in the Al-Arroub refugee camp, located north of Hebron, as a site for field interrogations and detention of Palestinian citizens on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

In a statement released on Friday, UNRWA condemned the actions of the Israeli military, describing the incident as a disturbing development that marks a blatant disregard for the sanctity of United Nations facilities.

According to the statement, the Israeli forces raided the health center and transformed it into a location for interrogating and detaining individuals, violating its status as a neutral and protected space.

This incident has raised concerns regarding the continued violation of international laws protecting the humanitarian infrastructure and civilian rights in Palestine. UNRWA has called for immediate action to ensure the safety and integrity of its operations in the region.
