HEBRON, January 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained three children on Sunday during an early morning raid in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to local sources.
Mohammad Awad, a local activist, reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the Safa neighborhood in the town of Beit Ummar and conducted a raid on several homes, where they ransacked the properties, damaged furniture, and detained three minors.
The three were identified as Musab Khaled Ekhlail, 15, Hamad Raed Adi, 16, and Qais Mohammad Al-Tit, 15.
In addition to the detentions, Israeli forces continued to impose severe restrictions on the movement of Palestinians throughout the region. The entrances to various refugee camps, towns, and the city of Hebron have been closed off with metal gates.
Military checkpoints were also set up at the entrances to the Old City of Hebron, near the Ibrahimi Mosque, and at several locations such as Ras Al-Joura neighborhood in the north and Farsh Al-Hawa in the west. Israeli soldiers stopped and searched vehicles, verifying the identities of passengers and causing further disruptions in daily life.
