Civilian killed, others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the northern Gaza Strip

GAZA, Monday, April 22, 2024 (WAFA) – At least one civilian was killed  and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said that a young man was killed and others were injured as a result of the occupation drones targeting a playground in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The occupation warplanes launched a series of raids on Street 10 in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, leaving several people wounded.  

Additionally, a large fire broke out in an Israeli artillery shelling that targeted civilians homes south and east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

Israeli fighter jets also bombed a residential building in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City, without any injuries reported so far.

Meanwhile, multiple civilians sustained injuries when Israeli military tanks opened heavy gunfire towards displaced in a shelter center in the town of Beit Hanoun and the northern Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has resulted in 34,183documented Palestinian fatalities so far, with the majority being children and women. In addition, 77,143 injuries have been documented since the start of the onslaught.

In this context, thousands of people are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses and buildings, presumed dead, and that civil and ambulance crews are unable to reach them due to the ongoing Israeli shelling and a lack of adequate equipment.
