RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 20, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today sealed off the entrance of the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that closed the main entrance of the town, obstructing the movement of commuters into and out of the town and causing traffic congestion.

Israel severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement through a complex combination of approximately 100 fixed checkpoints, flying checkpoints, colonist-only roads and various other physical obstructions.

Closures besides other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 57-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
