RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 (WAFA) – The President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday received a phone call from the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
During the call, they discussed the latest Palestinian developments in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and the necessity of quickly stopping the war of genocide to which our people are being exposed immediately, and stressing the importance of accelerating the entry of humanitarian, relief and medical aid, preventing displacement and stopping escalation the dangerous Israeli threat in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and emphasizing the role of the Arab League and its member states in mobilizing support for the State of Palestine’s endeavor to gain full membership in the United Nations.
The President and the Secretary-General exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and stressed the continuation of coordination and consultation at all levels.
