RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 (WAFA) – The President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed the most recent developments in Palestine via a phone conversation on Wednesday.
The President briefed the Jordanian King on the latest Palestinian developments, the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and the necessity of accelerating an immediate halt to the war of genocide against Palestinian people, stressing the importance of accelerating the entry of humanitarian, relief and medical aid, preventing displacement and stopping the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, stressing the importance of the State of Palestine gaining full membership in the United Nations.
In turn, the Jordanian King reiterated Jordan's ongoing support for the Palestinian people until they achieve their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The President and the Jordanian King exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and stressed the continuation of coordination and consultation at all levels.
