TUESDAY, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 - Israeli occupation forces Monday night stormed the Nour Shams and Tulkarm refugee camps and declared curfews in them, amid destruction of infrastructure, water and electricity lines.
WAFA correspondent said that the occupation bulldozers destroyed the main water line in the schools neighborhood in Nour Shams camp, and destroyed one of the tanks, causing water to flow with great force into the camp neighborhoods.
Citizens from inside the camp also reported a power outage in Al-Damj neighborhood after the occupation bulldozers destroyed electricity cables in the surrounding area.
The occupation forces raided a number of citizens’ homes in the camp, searched them, subjected their owners to interrogation, and deployed snipers on their windows and roofs, while another group of snipers was deployed inside high-rise buildings in the vicinity of the camp.
Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Tulkarm and the Nour Shams camp to its east, before storming the Tulkarm camp.
WAFA correspondent said that large forces from the occupation army, accompanied by several bulldozers, stormed the city from its western entrances, and headed towards Al-Alimi (Courts) roundabout and Al-Sikka Street, all the way to Nour Shams camp.
She added that the occupation forces besieged Nour Shams, pushed additional military reinforcements towards it, declared a curfew there, and prevented citizens from leaving their homes, while the occupation bulldozers razed and destroyed the infrastructure at the entrance to the camp, amid gunfire and explosions being heard in the area.
People inside the ccampnoteedan interference in communications networks and the Internet, coinciding with the occupation forces storming the camp.
The occupation bulldozers demolished a store selling cell phones at the main entrance to the camp, while the occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching some medical cases inside the camp.
Shortly, the occupation forces stormed the entrance to the Tulkarm camp, amid violent confrontations that included heavy gunfire, while they pushed military reinforcements from the western entrances of the city towards the camp.
The occupation bulldozers began razing and vandalizing the infrastructure in the nneighborhoos of the camp.
Israeli forces' storming of Tulkarm camp caused disruption to the Internet and caused it to be cut off from some of its neighborhoods.
The occupation forces withdrew from the city and its camps after an 8-hour raid.
