BETHLEHEM, Sunday, November 5, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces this evening forced Palestinians to close their shops in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem.
Head of Husan Village Council Jamal Sabateen told WAFA that the occupation forces stormed the al-Muteena area at the eastern entrance of Husan village, fired poison gas and sound bombs, and forced shop owners to close their doors at gunpoint.
Sabateen added that the occupation forces further seized the rooftops of houses and turned them into observation points in the said area.
Forces have also been preventing residents from reaching Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque located in the al-Muteena area.
In a related development, confrontations broke out after forces shut businesses in the village of Husan, during which forces attacked residents with live fire, tear gas bombs, and stun grenades. No injuries were reported.
Forces also took over the rooftops of several homes in the area and turned them into military outposts.
