NABLUS, Sunday, October 29, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces punitively blew up the family home of the late Palestinian martyr Hassan Qatnani in the Askar refugee camp, located east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the Askar refugee camp, encircling Hassan Qatnani's two-story residence before proceeding to blow it up, displacing his family members.
Earlier tonight, the Israeli occupation military had forced the Qatnani family out of their home as a prelude to its demolition, leaving the family displaced.
Hassan Qatnani was killed by Israeli occupation forces in an incursion into Nablus's old city last May.
Israel accuses him of taking part in a shooting operation in April in which three Israeli settlers were killed near the Hamra junction in the Jordan Valley region, located in the northeast of the occupied West Bank.
Israeli occupation authorities have long used to punitively demolish the family homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks on Israelis, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who are involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.
The policy has been widely condemned by human rights groups as a collective punishment and a war crime.
