JENIN, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 (WAFA) - Violent confrontations broke out at early Wednesday between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces at al-Jalama military checkpoint, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, in condemnation of the massacre committed by the occupation forces in the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, in which hundreds of Palestinians were killed.

Security and local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces present at al-Jalamah checkpoint fired bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the youths who went out in a demonstration denouncing the massacre and the occupation's continuing crimes against Palestinian people.

Israeli occupation forces intensified their military presence in the vicinity of the villages and towns of Jenin Governorate.
