LONDON, Saturday, October 14, 2023 (WAFA) – The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has reported that their team of journalists in Israel had been subjected to a violent attack and detention at gunpoint by Israeli police in Tel Aviv.

A spokesperson for the BBC stated that one of their teams from BBC News Arabic, who were operating in Tel Aviv, was traveling in a vehicle clearly marked as media. Nevertheless, the Israeli police detained and assaulted them last night.

The spokesperson emphasized that journalists must have the freedom to cover the ongoing events in Israel and Gaza without intimidation or harassment.
