TUBAS, Monday, October 9, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian minor today was injured after an explosive device left behind by the Israeli army went off in the town of Tubas, said a local official.
Mutaz Bsharat, an official in charge of monitoring Israeli colonial activities in the Jordan Valley, said Mohamed Khader, 13, sustained burns and injuries in the face after an unexploded device detonated in his face while he was grazing his family sheep in the said area.
The Israeli army usually conducts drills in the occupied West Bank, especially in the Jordan Valley, after forcefully displacing dozens of local Palestinian families from their homes.
Palestinians living in these areas have to also worry about unexploded ordnance left behind by the Israeli army after the drills, which have led to the death of many Palestinians, including children, over the past years.
