Palestinian youth killed by Israeli occupation army at entrance to Jericho

JERICHO, October 7, 2023 (WAFA) – A young Palestinian man was killed and another was injured by Israeli military gunfire this evening during confrontations that erupted at the northern entrance to the city of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent, quoting local and medical sources, identified the young man killed as Karam Nasser Al-Aydi, a resident of Ain al-Sultan refugee camp in Jericho. He said Al-Aydi succumbed to critical injuries sustained from live Israeli gunfire to the head. Another young man suffered gunshot wounds to his hand and foot, and his condition was described as moderate.

Earlier in the day, Israeli forces had sealed off the northern entrance of Jericho, preventing Palestinian residents from exiting or entering the area. This action is part of the collective punishment policy often imposed by Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian civilians.
