JENIN, Wednesday, September 19, 2023 (WAFA) - Dozens of Palestinians Wednesday suffered from suffocation from poisonous gas and tear gas in the village of Jalboun, east of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin as the Israeli occupation forces closed all entrances to the village with dirt barriers.
The head of the village council, Ibrahim Abu Al-Rub, told WAFA that a military force from the occupation army stormed Jalboun and raided dozens of homes inhabited by Abu Al-Rub family, ransacked them and interrogated their residents, amid intense firing of stun grenades and toxic tear gas, which led to dozens suffering from suffocation while inside their homes.
He added that these forces closed the entrances to the bypass roads leading to the village, while they were still turning the rooftop of the house of resident Imad Abu Al-Rub into an observation point and raised the Israeli flag on it.
The Education Director of Jenin Governorate, Salam Al-Taher, announced that school hours would be nine in the morning due to the continued incursion of those forces into the village.
A comprehensive strike is taking place in the city of Jenin and its camp, in mourning for the four slain Palestinians, and in rejection of the aggression against Palestinian people.
