RAMALLAH, August 25, 2023 (WAFA) - In the early hours of Friday morning, Israeli occupation forces arrested two Palestinians in the occupied West Bank province of Ramallah, according to local sources.
Among the two detained was Salah Al Khawaja, a resident of the town of Na'lin, west of Ramallah. He is the father of the late martyr Muataz Al Khawaja, who was killed by Israeli police gunfire on March 9 after allegedly carrying out a shooting operation in Tel Aviv.
In another incident in the village of Surda, north of Ramallah, eyewitnesses said a special Israeli military unit abducted an unidentified young man in front of the Sarda Mosque. The identity of the abducted individual is yet to be confirmed.
Almost on a daily basis, Israeli occupation forces carry out raids targeting populated Palestinian communities for arrests or searches. The practice, mostly carried out at nighttime, has become a routine under Israeli military regime.
