RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 17, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli repression units stormed today section 3 in the Israeli prison of Naqab, which is allocated for Palestinian political prisoners, and forcibly moved a number of Palestinian prisoners to another section, according to a joined statement by Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
The statement added that this comes after a series of raids by the Israeli repression units, the latest of which was a few days ago in section 26.
PPS and the Commission held the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) fully responsible for the prisoners in the Naqab prison.
The Israeli occupation authorities are incarcerating more than 4,500 Palestinian and Arab prisoners for resisting the Israeli occupation of their homeland.
In recent years, Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention have launched multiple strikes to demand better imprisonment conditions, including an end to the unjustified Israeli policy of raiding prisoners' sections.
