RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 1, 2023 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas briefed today at his office in Ramallah the President of the German Bundesrat Peter Tschentscher on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
The President expressed his appreciation for Germany's positions in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and its contributions to supporting capacity building of Palestinian institutions and infrastructure.
He stressed the keenness of the Palestinian side to strengthen bilateral relations between the two peoples and the two friendly countries and ways to develop and strengthen them.
In turn, the German guest affirmed his country's continued support for peace and stability, and the strengthening and consolidation of bilateral relations between Germany and Palestine.
The meeting was attended by member of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Ziyad Abu Amr, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information Nabil Abu Rudeineh, Palestinian Sharia Chief Justice Mahmoud Habbash, Advisor to the President for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi al-Khalidi, and on the German side, the head of the mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the State of Palestine, Oliver Owcza.
