RAMALLAH, Saturday, August 20, 2022 (WAFA) – The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, said that despite the clarification the presidency made regarding the statement President Mahmoud Abbas made in Germany on Tuesday, the incitement campaign against him continues.

“Despite the presidential clarification statement issued after the press conference in the German Chancellery, some parties insist on the continuation of the campaign of incitement against the Palestinian President and attempt to reverse, falsify and distort the facts,” he said in a tweet.

“In light of our emphasis on condemning the Holocaust and not denying it, we affirm that our people have been and still are being subjected to the crimes of the occupation,” added the PLO official in reference to the daily Israeli army killing of Palestinians in the occupied territories and incursions into the cities, as well as Israel’s illegal settlement activities.
