RAMALLAH, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas mourned the passing of European Parliament President David Sassoli through a cable sent to Silva Pereira, the Second Vice President of the European Parliament.
In the cable, the President said that Sassoli had devoted his life to sincere work and serving the causes of truth, justice and equality for people.
The President added, that "we will continue to be grateful for the late president, the European Parliament and its members, for all the assistance they provide to the refugees of our Palestinian people, to the education sector, and to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)."
