RAMALLAH, October 11, 2011 (WAFA) – Members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the
Speaking on Voice of Palestine radio, ICRC spokeswoman, Nadia Dibsy, said her organization is continuously in contact with the Israeli prison administration to remind them of the importance to provide necessary health care to the prisoners during their strike.
The prisoners have been on hunger strike for two weeks demanding improvement on their conditions and an end to prolonged solitary confinement policy.
Dibsy said the ICRC understands the worry and concern of the prisoners’ families and that ICRC officials are in contact with every family to inform them of the situation of their family members in Israeli jails.
