On Behalf of President Abbas, Abdul Raheem Lights Central Torch of Fateh 42nd Anniversary
GAZA, December 31, 2006 (WAFA) - Presidency Secretary General, Al-Tayyeb Abdul Raheem, lit Saturday, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, the central torch in the Unknown Soldier Square, marking the forty second anniversary of Fateh founding.
The torch was lit with hundreds of Fateh partisans, who gathered despite of the heavy rains, attending the ceremony.
Fireworks decorated Gaza sky. The participant pledged to continue the path of struggle that late Leader yasser Arafat initiated decades ago until they get their rights including the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
