Israeli Colonizers Set Fire to Olive Trees in Nablus
NABLUS, April 26, 2004, (WAFA)- Armed Israeli colonizers set fire Sunday night to tens of Palestinian-owned olive trees in the West Bank city of Nablus while Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) rolled into Hebron amid intensive fire and launched a house–to-house search campaign, witnesses and Palestinian security sources said.... Tens of armed Israeli colonisers, supported by IOF, penetrated on Sunday over night into the town of O'rif, south of Nablus, and set fire to olive trees, witnesses told WAFA.... Israeli colonisers from the "Yetzhar" colony broke into O'rif and randomly opened fire terrifying residents. Some of them set fire to trees while the others were protecting them. Israeli soldiers also participated in protecting the bands, witnesses said.... In the meantime, Israeli troops, backed by helicopters, rolled into the two towns of Ithna and Tarqomya, west of Hebron, and searched tens of houses, security sources and witnesses said.... Israeli soldiers stormed tens of houses and launched a house - to- house search campaign. They opened fire inside the rooms, spreading a state of panic among children and women....
