HEBRON, Sunday, September 15, 2019 (WAFA) – Extremist Israeli settlers last night attacked with rocks and empty bottles several Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that dozens of settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba were provided heavy protection from Israeli forces as they threw rocks and glass bottles at civilian homes in the neighborhood of al-Hareeqa in the city.

He added that the settlers smashed homes’ glass windows and chanted racist slogans, terrorizing children and families.

Citizens of the neighborhood called on international and rights organizations to urgently interfere to put an end to the Israeli government-supported settlers’ terrorism, and to provide protection for them.

Some 800 hardcore settlers live in the Israeli-controlled section of Hebron, known as H2, among over 20,000 Palestinians.

Harassment of Palestinians in that area is a daily occurrence, particularly following the departure of the international monitoring team, the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH), in February this year after Israel refused to extend the team‘s mandate.
