RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 28, 2019 (WAFA) – At least three Palestinians were injured after being attacked by Israeli settlers in Ras Karkar village, west of Ramallah city, the occupied West Bank, said a local activist.
Rateb Abu Rahma, media coordinator of the Popular committee against the separation wall and settlements in Bilin, said three land surveyors aged 42, 49, and 53 sustained various wounds and bruises throughout their bodies after being attacked by a group of settlers in al-Risan mountain, which overlooks the three villages of Ras Karkar, Kafr Ni‘ma and Kharbatha Bani Harith.
Settlers threw stones and physically attacked the men while carrying out surveys in al-Risan mountain, causing them various injuries and bruises throughout their bodies which necessitated their transfer to hospital for medical treatment.
The Israeli occupation authorities are trying to take over the al-Risan mountain for its strategic location in order to link a number of settlements together and separate several Ramallah villages from each other.
