Vulnerable Palestinian homes come under attack by Jewish settlers in Hebron area

HEBRON, Saturday, March 23, 2019 (WAFA) – Jewish settlers armed with guns and protected by Israeli soldiers attacked early today vulnerable Palestinian homes near the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba east of the occupied city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said the Kiryat Arba settlers threw rocks at the Palestinian homes and cars in an area referred to as Wad Hussein causing panic and concern of a possible rampage and massacre.

He said the neighborhood that came under attack is located near the settlement and near a building recently occupied by hardcore settlers and on a road settlers use to reach the Ibrahimi mosque, also called Cave of the Patriarchs, in Hebron.

Palestinian families in this area complain of regular attacks by settlers, particularly as the settlers celebrate Jewish holidays such as Purim, which coincided this weekend, and on Saturdays, when Jews supposedly mark the Sabbath.

Demands have been on the rise by Palestinians in vulnerable areas in the occupied Palestinian territories for international protection against Israeli settlers and army rampage in their towns and villages.
