TOUBAS, Saturday, March 09, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained today four shepherds and two activists as the shepherds were grazing their sheep in the Farisieh area in the northern Jordan Valley, according to Omar Fuqaha, an official in the Toubas governorate in the Jordan Valley.
He told WAFA that the four shepherds were herding their sheep in the open fields in the company of two peace activists for two hours before Israeli settlers chased them out of the fields and then the army intervened to detain the shepherds and activists.
Israeli and international activists often accompany shepherds during gazing to provide them with protection against attacks by settlers or soldiers.
