Mufid Abu Hussein, 70, in his hospital bed after he was attacked by Israeli settlers.
NABLUS, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 (WAFA) – A Palestinian elderly shepherd was Wednesday injured after being attacked by Israeli Jewish settlers in Burqa village, to the north of the city of Nablus, said a local activist.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that a number of settlers attacked Mufid Abu Hussein, 70, as he was grazing his sheep in the village, wounding him in the head.
Abu Hussein was rushed to a Nablus-based hospital after being found unconscious.
He stressed that settlers escalated their attacks on the road linking cities of Nablus and Jenin, especially in the area near the former illegal Israeli settlement of Homesh, which was evicted back in 2005.
