Settlers attack vehicles at checkpoint south of Nablus

NABLUS, Friday, December 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Extremist Jewish settlers last night attacked with stones Palestinian vehicles passing at Za‘tara checkpoint at route 60, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the area, told WAFA that dozens of rampaging settlers who gathered at the checkpoint pelted stones at any vehicles with Palestinian registration plates passing through the checkpoint, at full sight of Israeli soldiers who did nothing to stop them.

Meanwhile, Jewish settlers from illegal Beit El settlement, north of Ramallah city, attacked with stones Palestinian vehicles at the northern entrance to the city, smashing the windshields of some of them.

The two stoning attacks are the latest in a spate of terror attacks by Jewish settlers across the occupied West Bank following the fatal shooting of three Israeli soldiers near Ramallah earlier on Thursday.

Most of the attacks occurred at the full sight of Israeli military and security forces, according to witnesses and victims.
