RAMALLAH, Sunday, October 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers cut down dozens of olive trees belonging to a Palestinian resident in the village of al-Mughayyir, West of Ramallah, said a local official.
Head of al-Mughayyir village council, Amin Abu Aliya, told WAFA settlers from the nearby Israeli settlement outpost of Adei Ad, built illegally on land belonging to Palestinians, chopped down around 100 olive trees belonging to local resident Rateeb al-N’asaan.
According to OCHA, “olive-based livelihoods in many areas of the West Bank are undermined by Israeli settlers who uproot and vandalize olive trees, and by intimidation and the physical assaults on farmers during the harvest itself.”
