RAMALLAH, October 22, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces overnight
detained at least 73 Palestinians from various West Bank districts, said
security sources and anti-settlement activists.
Israeli forces detained at least 20 Palestinians from Jerusalem
district, 16 others from Hebron district, 12 others from Ramallah district, 10
others from Nablus district, seven others from Jenin district, four others from
Bethlehem district, two others from Qalqilya district, two others from Salfit
district and one from Jericho district.
In Jerusalem district, according to Muhammad Mahmoud, an attorney
representing Palestinian human rights organization Addameer, the Israeli police
detained at least 20 Palestinians in predawn raids into the Jerusalem
neighborhoods of As-Suwwana, Silwan, Jabal al-Mukabber, al-‘Issawiya and
Jerusalem’s Old City.
Police raided As-Suwwana neighborhood, where they detained at least
eight Palestinians, including four members of al-Qadamani family. The detainees
were identified as Musa, 19, Amir, 20, Sami and Muhammad al-Qadamani, 24, as
well as Muhammad Shehab, 20, Fadi al-Kilani, 18, Majdi Abu Ghazaleh, 25, and
Nazir al-‘Amuri, 21.
Police also raided the Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Mukabber, where
they detained at least two Palestinians identified as Ahmad ‘Owaist, 21, and
Muhmmad ‘Ubeidiya, 19.
At least four more Palestinians were detained from the Jerusalem
neighborhood of Silwan; ‘Abbas ‘Abbasi, 20, ‘Amer al-Muhtaseb, 18, ‘Ali Abu
Dyab, 20, and ‘Amer Zeidani, 20.
At least six more Palestinians were detained in a predawn raid into
the Jerusalem neighborhood of al-‘Issawiya. They were identified as Khaled
‘Ubaid, 20, Mu‘taz Abu Rmeileh, Lo’ai Ghosha and his sister, who remained
unidentified, Bassam Hijazi and Tareq As-Samman.
Meanwhile in Hebron district, Israeli forces detained at least 16
Palestinians, including two former detainees and two minors in predawn raids
into several Hebron neighborhoods, Dura, Beit Ummar, al-Mawrek and Kharsa.
Forces raided several Hebron neighborhoods, where they detained
four Palestinians; Taysir Abu Sneineh, Muhammad Abu Fanuneh, Yahya Zughayer and
Mujahed al-Qawasmi. One more Palestinian identified as Musa Abu Sharar was
detained during a predawn raid into Dura town, south of the city.
Three more Palestinians were detained during a predawn raid into
al-Mawrek village, west of the city. They were identified as Muhammad
An-Nammura, Hamza Abu Hlayil, and former detainee Fadi Srour.
Another Palestinian identified as Mahmoud At-Talahma, 20, who is a
former detainee, was re-detained as Israeli forces raided Kharsa village,
southwest of the city.
Israeli forces also raided Beit Ummar town, north of the city, where
they detained five Palestinians, including three minors, bringing the total
number of Palestinians detained from this town during the previous 24 hours to
11, including seven minors.
They were identified by local anti-settlement activist Muhammad
‘Awad as Ahmad As-Salibi, 19, ‘Ala’ Sabarna, 17, both of them are former
detainees, Wasim Bahar, 16, Muhammad ‘Adi, 15, and Ibrahim Sabarna, 25.
Several Palestinians in the Beit Ummar neighborhood of al-Hara at-Tahta
suffocated from excessive tear gas inhalation as Israeli forces fired tear gas
canisters before exiting the town.
Meanwhile in Ramallah district, Israeli forces detained at least 12
Palestinians during predawn raids into al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of the
city, Silwad town and al-Janiya village, northeast and west of the city. The
detainees were identified as Rami and ‘Ala’ Hamed, Muhammad Hammad, Anas Dar
‘Idwan, Muhammad ‘Alayyan, Muhammad Dar Youssef, Haytham and Sharaf Hamayel,
Majd and Muhammad al-Ramahi, Mustafa al-Tal and Ahmad ‘Ayyash.
In Nablus, Israeli forces detained 10 Palestinians during predawn
raids into Nablus city, Tell village and Sabastiya town. Four Palestinians were
detained as Israeli forces raided several Nablus neighborhoods. They were
identified as Ahmad ‘Awad, Mohammad Minyawi, ‘Ala’ Hmaidan, and ‘Abbas Fatayer.
Three more Palestinians were detained as Israeli forces stormed
Tell village, south of Nablus; Mahmoud ‘Asida, Mu‘ath Ishtayyeh and Mus‘ab
al-Hindi.
Meanwhile in Jenin district, Israeli troops and undercover forces
stormed and ransacked several houses in the city and re-detained four
Palestinians. The detainees were identified as Anas Qa‘qur (or Ka‘kur), 36,
‘Abdul-Jabbar Jarrar, 44, Mousa al-Badawi and Muhammad Saba‘na.
One more Palestinian was re-detained from Silat al-Harithiya
village, northwest of the city. Sources identified him as Sharif Tahayna, 46.
Another Palestinian was detained from Beit Qad village, east of the
city. He was identified as Salman Halawa, 39. Khaled al-Khaldi, 40, was
detained from ‘Arbuna village, northeast of the city.
Moreover in Bethlehem city, Israeli forces detained four
Palestinians after breaking into and ransacking their houses. Sources said they
are Ahmad al-Hraimi, 21, Muhammad Suman, 20, Jihad al-Ta‘mari, 20, and Muhannad
Abu ‘Ahur, 19.
Meanwhile, two more Palestinians were detained from Qalqilya, identified
as Muhammad Basalat and Sabra Salim.
Israeli forces raided the city of Salfit and detained two more
Palestinians identified as Diyaa and Baha Saleh. Another Palestinian minor was
detained as Israeli forces raided the Jericho refugee camp of ‘Ayn As-Sultan.
He was identified as ‘Abdul-Mu‘ti Abu al-Hasin.
