Colonists attack olive harvesters east of Qalqilya, injure one

QALQILYA, October 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening attacked olive harvesters south of Immatin village, east of the Qalqilya city, injuring one, according to local sources.

They said that colonists attacked farmers while they were picking olives in Al-Bawatin area, south of the village, pelting them with stones.

They added that a young farmer was struck in the head by a stone and sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, colonists barged their way into western Awarta town, south of Nablus, and fired live ammunition at a home. No injuries were reported.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
